Is love truly blind? That’s the burning question at the center of Netflix’s smash reality series Love is Blind.

The premise of the show is simple: 15 single men and 15 single women enter soundproofed “pods” where they then “date” ach other without ever being able to see their potential companion. Stripped of their cellphones, the couples can only communicate with each other by speaking through a wall connecting the pods. After about a week or so, the remaining couples still interested in pursuing the relationship get engaged – sight unseen!
